Sadly, only the cable stations carried Biden’s speech on the crisis our democracy is in. The three major networks did not!
But they carried King Charles’ speech. And it’s been non-stop coverage since the Queen died on many stations. Certainly, its fine to honor her death, show a program about her life, and carry the funeral. But we don’t even give our own President a half hour’s air time but we give the Queen/King of England days worth of coverage, maybe weeks as her funeral isn’t until the 19th? It’s just too much!
I doubt when one of our prior President’s dies, that it will get weeks of coverage. I thought we broke away from the monarchy over 240 years ago?
