WHAT’S NEW WITH LEMONGRASS SPA PRODUCTS FOR FALL 2016?
I am celebrating my 10th anniversary with Lemongrass Spa Products this month! This company was started by Heidi Leist in her basement in Pine, Colorado about 12 years ago, and now has grown so large that she opened has a second office in Tampa a couple years ago. The product selection has grown so much too that it now requires an 8 x 12 catalog! Heidi first started with foot soaks and lotions with the philosophy that women need to take time to relax and pamper themselves more. Thus the relaxing home spa parties we hold were born! At our parties you sit back while your feet are soaking in our 3-step foot treatment while enjoying some snacks and listening to the consultant share the products and pass them around for sampling.
From the very beginning, Heidi made sure her products were natural and safe and did not include the top toxic ingredients that the EWG (Environmental Working Group) posts. That list is posted on my web page. In fact, you can check out any product on the market at their website for its safety rating. http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ and you will likely be surprised! We Lemongrass Spa consultants are proud to sell quality products with many organic ingredients. Heidi quickly pulls out any suspicious ingredients to maintain integrity. That is the main reason I joined the company. There are other reasons too…the philosophy of helping teach about product safety, helping people relax, and the awesome leadership in the company. Also, consider this:; not only are you helping yourself by using natural and organic products, you are also helping by not contaminating the water and land with toxins! Think of the things that go down our drains and into our landfills.
At least twice a year we have new product launches. At the July convention, the new Fall products for 2016 were unveiled. I was unable to attend, but listened in to the call about them last week and want to share more about them with you! Personally, I start thinking about Christmas in August to plan ahead with a large family. So there are less than 150 days left until then. If you start now doing a little a month, it isn’t such a drain on time and money in December. So as I describe these new products, you might make a list of what might work for those on your list. Some make great office or business gifts if you buy for many people. Take advantage of the sales. But do take note, that our products are natural enough that they should be used up within 6-12 months as they can go bad. Most are safe enough to eat, not that you would want to, but some smell good enough to be tempted. LOL
During the holidays, we have some favorite scents that come in various products like our body polish which exfoliates and softens at the same time, lotions, spritz (spray lotion), hand and body washes and gift sets (often in pretty organza bags). Our past favorite scents are back in Candy Cane (peppermint scent) and Frosted Cranberry. The new scents for 2016 are Midnight Orchid (a mix of amber, sandalwood, pear and orchid) and Snicker-doodle (like the cookie a mix of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg).
For many years we have carried a healing balm that is great for families….from diaper rash to cuts and scrapes. I even kept some in my desk at work. Now we are expanding that single product to a group named “Products with a Purpose.” This will include a Recovery Balm to help aches and pains (cloves, arnica, cinnamon and cardamom) and a Soothing Balm to use much like you would Vicks for chest and throat ailments (contains peppermint, menthol for ages above 2 years old) and the Healing stick we had before. Kind of along the same lines, we have two new products. One is highly requested by younger mothers…a nursing balm to protect and soothe sore, chapped, or dry nipples from breastfeeding. It is Petroleum and fragrance-free and vegan. The other new product for men (presumably) is a Beard oil which is unscented that smoothes, tames and nourishes facial hair and skin while reducing itchiness. This is done with only 1-2 drops!
Last year Lemongrass Spa began selling a small selection of essential oils. Next a car diffuser was added and this season we present three new diffusers: Lattice diffuser for room décor, a wall diffuser, and an Ultrasonic diffuser for 4-6 hours and provides a bit of humidity too and a light with glass dome. Please get rid of your glade and toxic fragrances and candles and replace them with essential oils which can calm or improve air quality and sleep.
Another successful product line that came out about a year ago is our prebiotic line of liquid soaps. You have heard of probiotics in your food, but this is topical and helps your skin have the proper nutrients. For this fall, we have a new prebiotic hand scent in almond. We also have a 3-in-1 prebiotic wash in unscented and men’s essentials (shave, shower and shampoo in one so don’t have to buy three products). It won’t strip hair color and contains sea kelp, aloe and coconut oils. You can add your own favorite essential oil to the unscented should you wish.
